Departure at 07:00 from Filellinon 3, Syntagma and after some intermediate stops arrival in Monemvasia to visit its castle town. The only Greek medieval city located under a proud and imposing 300 meter rock. We will be charmed by the narrow cobblestones that run through Monemvasia from end to end and admire the medieval architecture of the buildings. We will walk along the Byzantine cobblestones and visit the Museum, the Church of Elkomenos Christos, located in the square of the castle, Panagia Chrysafitissa and the house of Yannis Ritsos. Option for lunch in Monemvasia. Transfer and check-in at the hotel. Afternoon free. Dinner on our office, at chosen local tavern. Overnight.

Breakfast at the hotel. Visit to the beautiful and picturesque Oitylo, one of the oldest towns in Mani. Featured in Oitylos are the 67 traditional stone settlements, a charming sight for visitor. A visit to the castles of the area, the Byzantine and Post-Byzantine churches with the amazing hagiographies, the towers that have stood proud over the years, and a walk along the stone-built streets and paths, will introduce you to the rich history of the place. In Oitylo you will enjoy the view of the sea and then we will visit LIMENI, in Messinian Mani. We will have time to walk the streets and admire the Tower of Mavromichali. Return to our hotel. Dinner. Overnight.

Breakfast at the hotel. Our first visit is the Diros Caves, one of the most impressive cavernous lakes in the world. The route starts with a boat ride for approximately 1200 meters and lasts around an hour. Visit to AREOPOLI, a village of western Mani in the prefecture of Laconia. It is a historical settlement, which maintained its independence during the Turkish occupation, home of the Mavromichales. It is the seat of the Municipality of Oitylos and has been declared preserved, keeping the traditional color of Mani. Leisure time for a walk and coffee. Stop and visit Gythio where we will have time for lunch (optional). In the afternoon we depart for Athens with intermediate stops. Arrival and end of excursion.
